Fading Ember
I am a rogue.
A planet with no star, no home, no thread of gravity.
Orbitless, time flows unmeasured. Adrift on rivers of stardust; alone, silent, merged into void. My core trembles, a lonely echo; it bleeds, a fading ember. Emptiness softly siphons toward inevitable heat death, entropy whispering the quiet promises of rest.
I drift endless cosmic seas, tears surrendered with my parent star.
A galactic tapestry weaves around me, a veil suspended forever beyond reach. I will voyage toward cold until kindly torn asunder by the galaxy’s heart.
Ending my exile, my soul, gifted quietly to the cosmos.
